Districts
The Chickasaw Council
The Chickasaw Council serves youth in the Mid-South, covering 17 counties, including, Shelby County in Tennesseee, Crittenden County in Arkansas and these Mississippi counties; Bolivar, Carroll, Coahoma, DeSoto, Grenada, Humphries, LeFlore, Montgomery, Panola, Quitman, Sunflower, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tunica, and Washington.
A Scouting “District” is a geographic area within the Council territory, organized by a full-time Scouting professional or “District Executive”. Districts are served by volunteer leaders such as a District Chairman and Commissioner, both of whom represent the District family on the Council Executive Board and Council Commissioner Staff respectfully.
Under the District Executive’s guidance, each district is responsible for:
- Recruiting new youth and leaders
- Educating parents on opportunities for their youth
- Training leaders
- Raising funds for the Chickasaw Council
- Providing programs such as annual camporees and Cub Scout Day Camps
- Approving Eagle Scout projects and Boards of Review
- Serving chartered partner agencies
- Recognizing success or achievement of its members

The Eastern District covers Arlington, Lakeland, Cordova, Germantown, Collierville, East Memphis from I-240 west to Shelby County border.
The Wolf River District covers Bartlett, Bolton, North Memphis, Raleigh, Millington, Austin Peay, Covington Pike, and Stage Road.
The Malmaison District covers Greenwood, Grenada, Winona, and Charleston, Mississippi.
The Northwest Mississippi District covers all of Desoto County, including Southaven, Horn Lake, Olive Branch, Hernando and Tate, Tunica and Panola Counties.
he Southeast District covers South Collierville, Hacks Cross area, Hickory Hill, Airport, Distribution area, South Memphis.
The Tallaha District covers all of Sunflower, Quitman, Coahoma, Bolivar Counties, including Cleveland and Clarksdale, Mississippi.
The Thunderbird District covers East Memphis, Summer Avenue area, University of Memphis - Inside I-240 East of Hollywood Street.
The Twin Banks District covers Midtown, Downtown - Inside of the I-240 Loop West of Hollywood Street, and Crittenden County, Arkansas.
The Washington District covers Greenville, Indianola and Belzoni, Mississippi.
